Here's exactly how a lease-to-buy agreement works.
Payment is taken by direct debit every month for 12, 24 or 36 months, depending on the term you select.
The domain is pointed to your web and email servers as soon as the first payment clears.
Once the final payment of any lease-to-buy option clears, full ownership of the domain transfers to you.
UK customers are charged VAT at on every payment, and will receive a VAT invoice.
Missed payment: if a failed payment is not remedied within 7 days of the due date, use of the domain will be permanently withdrawn and rights to purchase revoked without recourse to refund of prior rental payments.
Perpetual Lease (Option D) carries no purchase rights; use continues for as long as monthly payments are kept up. Perpetual lease arrangements may be switched to one of the lease-to-buy options at any time.
